Question

Is a 'set password' email sent to newly created Salesforce Users when created from BetterCloud?

When testing User Creation using BC, the user we created reported not receiving an email from Salesforce to set their password. Has anyone else noticed this, and do you have a solution for notifying users?

Are you using the 'Create User' and the 'Reset Password' actions?

We are using the Create User action, but no Reset Password

So the 'Reset Password' action will definitely send an email

Checking Create User...

interesting. Normally, when creating a user in Salesforce through the Admin interface it sends that new user an email confirmation and notification

Hmm yea created a user but didn't receive an email, must be an API thing

so you may want to use the two in combination, Create User and then Reset Password (assuming this is in a Workflow)

@mike-bc circling back on this. We tried using both commands. The issue is that the account creation process isn't completed properly. The reset password command requires that the user has already set up their security questions. Because they didn't get the account creation notification, they don't get an opportunity to do that.
