We are a 95% Mac shop and currently have a MDM solution for MacOS. We also have a few Windows devices that we want managed. I was looking into MobileIron but the minimum device count is 50, and I find Microsofts Intune to be granular and complex in its set up and maintenance, looks like a lot for just a few devices. Any recommendations on an MDM for W10 that is relatively handsfree in terms of setup and maintenance that would work for a hand full of devices?🗨 Link to Slack thread
When are you guys enabling FileVault via MDM, at logout or login or using a custom profile that would enable FV immediately ?
when you use basic ios management for users in Google Worksplace, does it force users to install the device policy app? Or is that only for advanced management hopefully🗨 Link to Slack thread
Evening All. Interested to know how you’re dealing with the pending release of Big Sur? Is anyone blocking the release while they test and certify the OS in your environment? I have two vendors that don’t support the OS yet.🗨 Link to Slack thread
don't you love it when people come to you with solutions rather than requirements? "we want to use ipads as shared devices for Google Meet in our remote facilities, how do we manage them via G Suite MDM?"🗨 Link to Slack thread
We’re in the middle of a trial with Kandji right now. I’ve emailed our rep (Nathan, who’s in the screenshot above) looking for some explanation and to give them an opportunity to share their side of this story to a potential new customer. It’s especially timely because I called out our hesitation with a 100% cloud-based MDM given Fleetsmith situation in our very first conversation. I don’t expect full transparency given that they can’t reveal details on another account, but we’ll see what they say🗨 Link to Slack thread
does anyone know how long it takes for the devices to show up in ABM if it's manually prepared using apple configurator 2?https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/apple-configurator-2/cad99bc2a859/mac🗨 Link to Slack thread
besides intune and SCCM is there a good option for windows device management?🗨 Link to Slack thread

Interesting - no one is using MobileIron for MDM?🗨 Link to Slack thread
We have abandoned strict MDM in favor of cross-OS functionality in our existing systems. Google MDM for mobile devices, JumpCloud for Windows and Mac. JumpCloud didn’t used to have much more than a CLI capability but in the last year they’ve expanded to include Group Policy Objects and more robust Mac MDM.🗨 Link to Slack thread
I came into the org with Kandji in place and have mixed feelings about it thus-far, but at our scale and the potential growth of the product at startup speeds it seems ripe to be a contender with JAMF. There’s a lot more automation of the manual processes in JAMF to get you kickstarted faster.🗨 Link to Slack thread
We use jamf, but Kandji reached out to me at some point - would be curious to hear about your experience @ryan.donnon🗨 Link to Slack thread
I've used JAMF, Addigy, and currently use Fleetsmith. JAMF I think rightly is the gold standard if you want all the options, but it's time consuming to both set up and keep up. Addigy to me was very similar but with a better looking interface. Fleetsmith has a few gaps in functionality but can really be set up and deployed with little to no hassle and their support is top notch which is a key aspect I look into for any third party🗨 Link to Slack thread
