We are a 95% Mac shop and currently have a MDM solution for MacOS. We also have a few Windows devices that we want managed. I was looking into MobileIron but the minimum device count is 50, and I find Microsofts Intune to be granular and complex in its set up and maintenance, looks like a lot for just a few devices. Any recommendations on an MDM for W10 that is relatively handsfree in terms of setup and maintenance that would work for a hand full of devices?

out of all the MDMs I have used (WS1, Intune, G Suite Enhanced Desktop Security for Windows), Intune has been the best for managing Windows. YMMV depending on your current Microsoft footprint

Maybe that’s just mobile phones.
I did try out Gsuites MDM but found it too limiting, having the ability to remotely wipe the machine is essential. I believe Gsuite just logs out google accounts on the device and files that are synced with GDFS. Intune is looking like the route to go with, and we already have an office 365 instance.

intune is not too bad.. just a lot of blades to click through. i think you can remote wipe now with G Suite, though I haven't tested it. but Chrome/GCPW could be points of failure

what do you need to do with the mdm btw? if it is only 10 devices, you can get away with a jumpcloud trial. we use Workspaceone to manage both Windows and MacOS. 95% Mac 5% Win
We're looking audit and enforce policies like disk disk encryption, app deployment would be good. App and OS updates are a must have, as well as a full remote wipe of the device.
We use Kandji for our mac fleet and love the simplicity and ease of setup and deployment, having something that does not have a lot over overhead for our Windows devices would be great. Especially given that we only have a hand full of devices and would probably only reach a maximum of 10 devices.

anyone else push hexnode into production? I am testing it out now and it looks really good for the price. Wondering if there are any gotchas…
