Question

Do you have any must-read books for people in the IT/SaaSOps field?

There have been a few books published by members of the SaaSOps Community:

The Life Sciences IT Survival Guide by @nmcbride

Okta Administration: Up and Running by @henkjanvries & @lovisa.stenbacken-stj

(there may be very well be more that I’m not aware of)

Aside from these, do you have any must-read books you recommend to others in the IT/SaaSOps field?

Even though it might not be a SaasOps specific book... it is a classic book to reference around team and org structure, systems architecture, designing good process, and more. https://the-sysadmin-book.com

Big fan of Tubes by Andrew Blum

I have always been very fond of books from A Book Apart, especially Resilient Management. There needs to be just as much books about how to work with people as there are how to design systems. https://abookapart.com/products/resilient-management

https://abookapart.com/products/cross-cultural-design also good if you design systems that are used by people internationally.

…and if you’d like an entertaining youtube video about the design industry, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVkLVRt6c1U i highly recommend this one. Also, warning, Language Alert! [if you’re australian, you’ll recognize that phrase]
