Has anyone run into an issue with the M1 MBPs where a login password is unable to be verified (11.1)?
Is this on a password change or new user creation?
It's occurred now for an existing user account and for a new user created
Haven't had the chance to deploy an M1 yet, but almost every machine I've updated to Big Sur, I've had to reset SMC to get TouchID to work.
Sorry not a direct answer, but the best one I've got 🙃
Okay, for anyone else who may have this nightmare
The M1s do not allow for SMC reset. After multiple failed attempts to change a password or create a new user, I was finally able to get in by using Apple Configurator 2 and selecting Restore
