I just love Freshservice ... But that's only good if you want to also switch your ticketing system.

yeah I like it as well since i used to use it in my previous company but as you said they don't sell itself but with their ticketing system as well which we already have one.

I have yet to tap in the full functionality with I sight and Jira but it is very customizable and syncs well with Jira issues for tracking trends. That mixed with our MDM platform combined to make an IT asset management system.

Im just starting to look into Jira post functions to manipulate Insight object fields. Having Atlassian support backing it has been a big help too.

We use Snipe-IT, free and open source asset management tool (though there’s a paid, hosted option).

I have looked at Snipe-IT and really liked what I saw but used Oomnitza. I like Oomnitza since it integrated with JAMF Casper (MDM) and Zendesk to review and tie together for review simpler “single pane of glass”

yeah, oomnitza looked really nice, especially the integrations, and may be something we grow into. It seemed a bit pricey when I looked at it, but will have to revisit

Oomnitza is the best but they are very $$$, if you can afford to, I would recommend.

These days we actually are moving away from our traditional asset manager and just looking towards doing some automation with all of our different management services to bring all the information into a single Google sheet 🙃 feels ridiculous to say but that only downside to our google sheet is that it doesn’t update itself, so 🤷 But I’ve always said that this is an area ripe for disruption.

Yea, if you can use Google App Script to populate tour spreadsheet, it can do lots of the heavy lifting for you.
