• Angles are important & should be eye level - if you are looking down it gives off an unprofessional vibe
• Lighting, lighting, and more lighting - we want to see that beautiful face and smile! Be present AND in the moment
• Headset w/microphone - working remote can be tough - we live in a crazy climate now - use a headset to focus on your audience and a microphone that can capture your voice clearly & consistently
• Virtual Background Etiquette - backgrounds can be FUN but keep it professional and tame - if you have a company logo, be proud to show that off!

I can’t stress this enough, prioritize audio. Looking like a pixelated mess is easily forgiven. Sounding like one is an instant moodkiller. Put your money on audio first

Agreed. Also you could be using a potato for a webcam but if you have great lighting it will still look pretty good. If your audio is crap no one will want to listen to you

I had this before I stepped up my podcast game (Shoutout to @daniel.gualtieri for his podcast session back in the day!) but this was amazing and made my voice sound crystal clear - I also added isolation shields in the corner I speak in - https://www.amazon.com/Condenser-Microphone-Sound-Card-Podcasting/dp/B08VWD75ZS/ref=[…]fYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

I can send you my “good, better, best” audio setups. An inexpensive XLR mic and audio interface will make a WORLD of difference for under $100

I don’t have any tips but I’m definitely looking forward to hearing others’ and reading the blog! Also wondering how you can use a bike seat in a/v setup 🤔@cdubs:

If you have an “old” DSLR or mirror less camera laying around, this thing is black magic: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CVF53C7/
