I’m including this in tomorrow’s Monitor newsletter and would love to hear your thoughts on Trello’s latest initiative to become your “command center” for all your productivity apps. Is this type of centralization something you want in an app like Trello, or does it introduce other concerns that your IT teams might have to manage?

Trello is probably our most unused Atlassian app. Be interesting to see where it fits in our environment.

It seems like Trello is joining all the other key players who want you to be in 'their' app 24/7 and to never leave it to do another task. Microsoft are doing this with Teams and the new Viva idea. Google are doing it with feature changes to and the rebranding of Workspace. Slack have always tried to be the one place you spend your work day, and even smaller players like Hive.com build a product that allows you to everything in one place...app or tab.

Interesting. We use Trello quite a lot - and increasingly so these days (they even called us out as an example in their SEC filings) ...

I don't see it as the hub, but having it as a hub would be useful - it's definitely a tool where folks link out a lot to other things.

Key for me, actually, would be embeddable Trello views. Focus on making it easier to pull users to the tool when they want more info, rather than trying to trap users there once they get there 🙂

Every app wants to be the center of your work life 😂 there can only be one center of my work life, ultimately, and I have yet to encounter anything that ACTUALLY connects all the different tools I work in. Slack is the closest, but since it does more event and notification based interaction with apps, it’s still lacking.

It seems like they're just jumping on the views bandwagon - catching up to Airtable, Monday.com, ClickUp, etc...

If it’s helps reduce SaaS spend/sprawl that wouldn’t be a bad thing if orgs are already using Atlassian products.
