Just learned that the new MBP 13 with the M1 chip can only support 1 external monitor.... anybody have workarounds or plans for how the hell to solve that? so many people in their wfh setups have duals....

Yeah i had seen that they dont support externals; which wasn't a big deal before; but if we can't use more than 1 monitor period gonna suck

That would've been the only work around I can think of it, which is not supported.

I can see the paywall where if a professional needed two external displays, they would be driven to purchase a (potential) 16" MBP that would support it with like a M2 or M1X chip.

Or go with the current 16" Intel while you still can.

We give engineers 16s so i'm less worried about them - i assume/hope that apple wont remove dual screen functionality from that. But the 13s are for basically everyone else and we have a lot of people with dual screen setups.

Yeah.. no good ideas for you there unless we see a M1 compatible Apple Cinema display or something. Upgrade or downgrade setups.
