Looking to automate that w/o having Grid 😤

But if I read the doc right…even that is an enterprise grid only feature… https://api.slack.com/enterprise/workspaces

Looks like all paid versions have access

That’s good. So this could work with some kind of apps script or so… 🤔 Maybe someone open sourced their code?!

Sure, what’s the exact use case?

We do use the Slack User Groups for default channels and to notify the certain group for stuff… and we have the same groups as user groups. Managing both is tedious especially in this nonprofit use case with a lot of user turn over.

Got it, there are tools like OneLogin, Okta and BetterCloud that you can use for this … you could also likely script something using Apps Script

Yeah. Non-profit setup…getting cash for those tools is …. a … pipe dream?

So Apps Script would be the way to go, I guess…

Yea most likely (or really any scripting tool)

Assuming you want to say: when user is added to google group -> add to user group?

If you have Okta, you can use push groups for this.

But yes, I don’t recommend those just for the automation. You could request the feature in BC, at least.

added to google group --> add to user group; and the same with remove from google.

THat’s the user case…
